'Power' Gets Ratings Bump This Week

Viewers may not have been happy with the staging of Discovery’s special “Phelps vs. Shark,” but they sure tuned in Sunday.
The kickoff of Discovery’s annual Shark Week drew strong ratings, with “Phelps vs. Shark” leading the way. It earned a 1.9 rating among adults 18-49 and 4.78 million viewers, way up over anything during last year’s Shark Week.
“Game of Thrones” remained dominant in its second week, falling just a little from its season premiere. It scored a 4.3 in the 18-49 demographic and 9.27 million viewers, its second-best numbers ever.
Elsewhere, “Power” (0.8) ticked up week to week for Starz.
