Pivotal 'Game of Thrones' Scene Lightened With a Little Bon Jovi

Pivotal 'Game of Thrones' Scene Lightened With a Little Bon Jovi If you haven't seen last Sunday's penultimate episode of "Game of Thrones," turn around now. You can't say I didn't warn you.

For the rest of us, who watched in horror and excitement as Castle Black was invaded by Wildlings, we know that we lost a few good men that day. Grenn, gone. Pyp, gone. Various minor characters, wiped out.

(Side note - did anyone else feel like Sam had sealed his doom when he promised Gilly he'd stay alive? Whew. Thankfully, Sam lives to fight - and love - another day).

If you're as heartbroken as I am about the destruction, you can lay a flower on their graves in the virtual "Game of Thrones" graveyard, and try to find a little inner peace.

One major character didn't get to move on to the next episode, and was arguably the biggest loss of the night. Ygritte, moments from (maybe?) taking her revenge on former lover Jon Snow, is struck by an arrow and dies shortly after.

In a satisfying story arc, Ygritte's end comes from the boy, Olly, who was spared to spread the word to Castle Black while the rest of his village - and family - were slaughtered. Ygritte dies in Jon Snow's arms, insisting up until the very end that Snow knows nothing.

A few onions were cut in my household during that moment.

For those who don't want to dwell on the tragedy of that situation, here's a Youtube clip of Ygritte's death, thoughtfully lightened up by a little background Bon Jovi. I'll go ahead and let you guess which song.

Enjoy.
