Pete Davidson‘s life is hitting the big screen.

The Saturday Night Live comedian, 25, is set to star in a semi-autobiographical movie cowritten and directed by Judd Apatow, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The feature will loosely focus on Davidson’s life growing up in Staten Island, New York. It will serve as Apatow’s first directing credit since 2015’s Trainwreck starring Amy Schumer.

The movie will follow in the same tone, with Davidson’s real-life experiences loosely featured. The comedian and actor’s father, who was a firefighter, died when Davidson was 7-years-old during the 9/11 World Trade Center terrorist attack.

The announcement comes days after Davidson’s performance in the coming-of-age comedy Big Time Adolescence earned rave reviews at the Sundance Film Festival.

Davidson’s profile has grown in the last year after his four-month romance with singer Ariana Grande dominated the summer headlines.
