Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem Expecting!

Penelope Cruz and her husband Javier Bardem are expecting!

The couple already has a two-year-old son named Leonardo Encinas Bardem, who was born January 2011, but 38-year-old Cruz is said to be about three months along with the next little peanut to add to their brood.

Sharing in their joy is her sister, Monica Cruz, 35, who is also pregnant by an anonymous sperm donor. She will be blogging about her pregnancy experience for the Spanish newspaper El Pais.

Of motherhood, Penelope has said, “From the first second, you feel so much love. It is a revolutionary experience. That’s the best way I can describe it. It transforms you completely, in a second. Nature is very wise and gives you nine months to prepare, but in that moment, when you see that face, you are transformed forever.”

“Skyfall” creepster Bardem 43, met Cruz in 1992 while working on “Jamon Jamon”, but the two didn’t begin dating until 2007, when they starred together in the Woody Allen flick, “Vicky Cristina Barcelona.” They got engaged in 2009, and married in July 2010 in a small ceremony in the Bahamas.

Currently, the two are celebrating their pregnancy and just having a nice time vacationing on the private Caribbean island owned by Cruz’s “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” co-star, Johnny Depp.

Both Bardem and his wife are Oscar winners. Bardem was also the first Spaniard to be nominated for an Oscar, for 2000’s “Before Night Falls.”
