Paul Walker Autopsy Report Reveals Car Was Traveling at 100+ MPH Before Crash

Here's your friendly reminder to drive carefully.

The final autopsy report on Paul Walker's death is in from the Los Angeles County Coroner's office, and there's some frustratingly tragic news in the report: Paul Walker's Porsche was traveling at more than 100 MPH when it crashed.

That's more than twice what was originally thought, as initial reports said that the car was only traveling around 45 MPH at the time of the wreck.

However, the new confirmation of the car's speed explains the wreck much more clearly. The Los Angeles Times put it this way:

"The car crashed into a pole and several trees on Hercules Street in Santa Clarita. The force was so strong that after the driver's side of the vehicle hit a light pole and tree, the car continued spinning until Walker's passenger side slammed into another tree and burst into flames, according to the report."

The report also notes that the car was "almost split in half" and that Walker's body was so badly burned from the fire that he was almost unrecognizable and his organs could not be donated.

The report does confirm that neither Walker nor his friend Roger Rodas had drugs or alcohol in their systems at the time of the accident.

So stay safe out there, people.
