'Parks & Recreation' Sets Premiere and Finale Dates for Final Season

'Parks & Recreation' Sets Premiere and Finale Dates for Final Season It's almost time to say goodbye to Pawnee.

NBC has officially set the premiere and finale dates for the comedy, which will air a short but undoubtedly emotional set of episodes to cap off its final season in 2015.

The season premiere will be on January 13, a Tuesday, at 8pm. From there, the show will air every week until the very last episode of the series, which will be on Tuesday, February 24.

That means there are only seven episodes remaining, though the finale will be an hour-long special (naturally) so technically it counts as an eight-episode order.

It'll be an interesting season, as the last time we saw the Pawnee gang, Leslie had decided to stay in her hometown and make her dream job come to her, so as to keep serving Pawnee and raise her and Ben's twins there.

At the very end of the last season, we saw a glimpse of the future that had Leslie running her new office and about to accept a major award...and bossing around an inept new employee played by Jon Hamm, who is rumored to make one more appearance in the final season.

The show's creative team has said that the final season will take place in that time jump, as opposed to continuing in the present day and catching up to that point, so we should see Leslie balancing being a mom along with her work responsibilities.

Here's hoping we get one more song from Chris Pratt before it all ends.
