Overkill? Will Smith Under Investigation from Child Protective Services Over Daughter Willow

Here's a tip: Don't let your 13-year-old daughter pose in bed with a shirtless 20-year-old.

Will Smith and his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, have learned that lesson, as the celebrity couple are reportedly being investigated by Child Protective Services.

The case, according to insiders, was opened shortly after the Smiths' daughter, Willow, posted a photo to Instagram of her posing in bed with a shirtless Moises Arias, a family friend. The media picked up on the photo and the general public reacted strongly to seeing the 13-year-old Willow in bed with a half-naked 20 year old.

Will and Jada both responded to the scandal, calling the photo an artistic expression, and claiming there was "nothing sexual" about it. Jada even tried to turn the focus back around, saying, "You guys are projecting your trash onto it. You’re acting like covert pedophiles and that’s not cool.”

However, the source that delivered the info about the CPS case claims that the case is being taken very seriously, and that Will and Jada will be investigated as if they were any other couple.

Now, just as earlier, there seem to be voices on both sides of the fence. Some are reacting with encouragement for the CPS investigation, claiming that it's necessary to hold celebrities to the same standards as anyone else. Others, though, are arguing that this is a misuse of CPS' time and resources over a non-issue that was blown up by the media.

Personally, we think the couple should've been investigated first for making Jaden star in the horrible "After Earth." Blech.
