'Orange Is the New Black': [SPOILER] Won't Be In Season 3
by Andy NeuenschwanderWe're not saying that season three of "Orange is the New Black" is going to be drama-free, but it should at least be a little less dangerous.
Netflix has responded to rumors that Lorraine Toussaint (who played Vee) will be on season three of the hit show with very little left up to interpretation: Vee just isn't going to be in the third season.
Interestingly, Netflix had to make the response following a report from TMZ that Toussaint was on the "Orange is the New Black" set, filming scenes for season three. Either TMZ is dead wrong, or Netflix is holding back some secrets.
There might be some kind of middle-ground explanation: Perhaps Vee doesn't appear in the present in season three, but might appear in flashbacks, so Netflix feels that they would be accurate in saying that she doesn't appear in the upcoming season.
None of this helps answer the question that arose at the end of season two, which had Vee looking very possibly dead. Given all the trouble she caused at Litchfield, we're sure that Red and Poussé are hoping she is, anyway.
Toussaint, for her part, isn't helping to clear things up. "We’re not sure if Vee is dead,” she said in an interview with Buzzfeed. "She could be dead, she could not be dead. That’s an open-ended question still. Isn’t that a scary proposition? She might need to be dead. I don’t know."
