'Orange Is the New Black': Lori Petty Set for Larger Role in Season 3 Lolly might be coming to Litchfield!

Lori Petty, who played a small role in the season two premiere of "Orange is the New Black," is set to return to the show for season three...perhaps in an even bigger role.

While at a launch party for her book, Pen and Ink, Petty mentioned that she had been at a long shoot for "OITNB" season three, and that she would be returning for even more filming the next day. She didn't say what role she was playing, but we would assume she's returning as Lolly.

That has some implications for the show's story, considering that when we first met Lolly, we were on a bit of a sojourn away from the home base of "OITNB" at Litchfield Prison. In the scene, Piper was being whisked onto a plane with no idea where she was heading, and was seatmates with the calm and slightly comforting Lolly.

Eventually, it was revealed that Piper was headed to another prison for a short stay, which means that if Lolly is coming back into Piper's life, she's almost definitely coming to Litchfield for one reason or another.

She seemed like a pretty tough character, so it'll be interesting to see how she fits in with the other personalities running the place in New York. Judging by the show's shooting schedule, it seems as though she won't appear until later in the season, so we'll have to wait a while to find out.
