'Once Upon a Time' and 'Wonderland' Might Merge After Cancellation

'Once Upon a Time' and 'Wonderland' Might Merge After Cancellation If you're a fan of "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland," here's some good news and bad news for you.

The bad news is that "Wonderland" is most definitely canceled. Eagle-eyed fans noticed that the next episode promo from last week's show billed the season finale as the series finale, a move that has been confirmed by the network.

So that means that we'll have to say goodbye to Alice, the White Rabbit, Jafar and the rest of the "Wonderland" gang when the series ends on April 4. But is there a possibility that they could come back? After all, the original "Once Upon a Time" probably isn't going anywhere anytime soon, and the two shows inhabit the same universe.

As it turns out, executive producers Adam Horowitz and Eddie Kitsis have addressed the idea of a merger between the two shows already, as they were asked about it during a press event.

"The two stories kind of take place in different times," Horowitz said. "[The two shows] are slightly out of sync. I would say that we love the characters in [Wonderland] obviously, and would certainly be open to it down the line...Next year, perhaps."

So it looks like, while it's not impossible for Alice and the gang to show up in "OUAT" eventually, it's going to take some time. And really, "OUAT" has its hands full with enough characters and storylines of its own, especially with the recent addition of the Oz universe...throwing Wonderland into the mix might be too much for the writers, much less the audience to handle week-to-week.
