'House' Divided: Olivia Wilde Divorces Husband of Eight Years

'House' Divided: Olivia Wilde Divorces Husband of Eight Years Celebrities often have a strange see-saw in which the success of their careers is inversely proportional to the success of their love lives. Take Sandra Bullock, for example, who learned of her husband Jesse James' cheating shortly after winning her first Oscar.

Well, another one bites the dust: actress Olivia Wilde has filed for divorce after an eight-year marriage to her husband, filmmaker Tao Ruspoli. Wilde had a breakout year as her work on "House" finally earned her some well-deserved attention, and she landed a starring role in the sci-fi epic "Tron: Legacy."

There haven't been any details about the split, other than that Wilde cited "irreconcilable differences" in the divorce. In the past, Wilde has talked about her new identity as a sex symbol and how it balances with her marriage, saying that, "people said I shouldn't be married." Wilde has graced the cover of many a magazine in the past few years.

A source close to the couple said that they had been "living apart for a while." The couple separated last month.

Wilde will appear next in the upcoming "Cowboys and Aliens," directed by Jon Favreau ("Iron Man") and co-starring Harrison Ford and James Bond newbie Daniel Craig.
