Now, Where Were We?: Heroes Reborn

Fans of The Walking Dead might be disappointed to discover that the new spinoff series Fear The Walking Dead won't feature any of their favorite characters, but fans of Heroes likely won't be let down in the same way when Heroes Reborn hits the air in September. This sequel miniseries picks up pretty much where the original NBC series left off in 2010, and there's a good chance that some familiar faces will pop up over the course of the series' run.

The sequel series takes place a year after a terrorist attack in Odessa, Texas, is blamed on people with extraordinary abilities, forcing the heroes to go into hiding. Claire Bennet was killed in the attack, and her father, Noah, played by Jack Coleman, is determined to get revenge. He is joined in his quest for vengeance by a group of new heroes played by Zachary Levi, Danika Yarosh, Ryan Guzman and others.

Claire's death explains why Hayden Panettiere won't join the cast of the new series, but other actors from the original series will be absent, as well. Ali Larter and Milo Ventimiglia won't be on hand, nor will Zachary Quinto, whose star has risen since the end of the original series. Original cast members Greg Gunberg, Masi Oka, Cristine Rose and Sendil Ramamurthy will reprise their roles, though.

Heroes Reborn will premiere on NBC on September 24, 2015.
