Nicole Kidman: Peeing On Zac Efron Was Easy...No, Really.

Zac Efron has got a spit-take cocktail party story for the rest of his career: the time Nicole Kidman peed on him.

The leggy, Oscar-winning Aussie told V Magazine (via NME) that the legit urine-soaking scene in the pair's upcoming drama "The Paperboy" is a bonding moment of trust between her character, Charlotte, and Efron's Jack after Jack endures a jellyfish sting.

It's a still widely believed urban myth that urine's natural ammonia will soothe a jellyfish sting. This is still widely believed despite scientists proving its lack of merit, leaving it a practice that's just kind of icky.

Or, as Kidman explained in this instance, a tender act between companions.

"The peeing thing, I didn't think was that weird, because I was in character," Kidman said. "That was for the jellyfish. And for me, it said so much about Charlotte. One, she's protecting him. Two, she's tough as nails and no one else is going to pee on this guy."

Based on Pete Dexter's 1995 novel and narrated by Macy Gray, Matthew McConaughey plays a reporter bent on clearing the name of a Death Row inmate convicted of murder. Efron plays the reporter's younger brother and Kidman, the inmate's fiancée. The film premiered at May's Cannes Film Festival to mixed reviews for the film as a whole, but acclaim for Kidman's performance.

Directed by "Precious" and "Shadowboxer" director Lee Daniels, "The Paperboy" hits U.K. theaters this October and U.S. theaters in 2013.
