Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey Yell At Each Other on 'Idol' Set (VIDEO)

When you start hearing reports like "Mariah Carey is upset that Nicki Minaj was hired" and "they're feuding!" you can't think too much of it. In this landscape, stories like that are a dime a dozen, and generally overblown.

But seriously, you guys. Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj are feuding.

The latest incident was reported by TMZ, claiming that Minaj cussed out Carey on the set on Tuesday. Amid Minaj's rant were quotes like "I told them, I'm not f*cking putting up with her f*cking highness over there," while crew members halted filming and Keith Urban, seated between the two, threw up his hands.

A bit of the incident was caught on video, but not featured is the beginning of the argument, in which Carey reportedly called Minaj a "bitch." After the feud, producers put production on hold, cancelling all auditions for the day so that the judges could cool off.

Looks like it's time to start taking this feud seriously. Will Minaj and Carey be able to keep their cool through the season? It's easy to cut out the outbursts now, but once "Idol" starts going live, this could be a major issue.

Moral of the story: never put two divas on the same judging panel.
