Newest 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Trailer Offers Clear View of Our Heroes, Shredder

We've caught glimpses, but now we get to sit back and fully appreciate the CGI that is Michael Bay's live-action "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."

The newest trailer hit the Internet today, and gives us a clear look at what we can expect. Obviously, there will be a lot of explosions and action. It's Michael Bay, for goodness sake.

More interestingly, we get to appreciate the crime-fighting turtles themselves, their sensei Splinter (Tony Shalhoub), and our villain, Shredder (William Fichtner).

The trailer also seems to clear up a fan concern that Bay's version would explain away the turtles' special powers as extraterrestrial in nature.

"So they're aliens?" asks camera man Veron Fenwick (Will Arnett) in the trailer. Partner April O'Neill (Megan Fox) quips, "No, that's stupid."

"They're ninjas," she adds.

Ah, well, that clarifies everything.

Check out the trailer below for your view of Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo, and leave your impressions in the comments! "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" hits theaters August 8th.
