New Web Series From 'Robot Chicken' Creators Launches Friday

New Web Series From 'Robot Chicken' Creators Launches Friday After dominating the Adult Swim block on Cartoon Network with their hilarious (and labor-intensive) show "Robot Chicken," Seth Green and Matthew Senreich are about to step into the world of Web content for a brand-new stop-motion show.

The project is called "Stoopid Monkey," also the name of the gang's production company that puts out "Robot Chicken." Rather than take a full stop-motion animated approach, "Stoopid Monkey" will blend live action with stop-motion for a hybrid experience. The show will center on the animated characters Stoopid Monkey, Biggie and QT as they interact with real people. Senreich, Green, and Hillary Bergen will provide voices.

The show will be available online for free on the Stoopid Monkey YouTube channel starting this Friday. Each week will bring two new episodes, and the first season of the series will run for 10 weeks. If it's anywhere near as funny as "Robot Chicken," the Internet is in for a real treat.

This marks yet another foray from a major television production team to the Web, following news that major soap operas "All My Children" and "One Life to Live" might end up continuing production online as well. Is this the dawn of the era of legitimate, professional web content? Could be!
