New 'The Walking Dead' Clip Shows Two New Characters (VIDEO)

In any other show (besides maybe "Lost"), seeing new characters show up isn't a big deal. But in "The Walking Dead," when there are so few humans left that aren't "pretty much dead already" and hungry for brains, every time any non-zombified people show up, it's quite the occasion.

For that very reason, it looks like the upcoming midseason premiere episode, titled "Nebraska," is going to be quite the occasion. This preview clip from the episode reveals two new characters walking in on Rick and Herschel as they debate how to address the division between their two groups.

Who are they? So far, the show has been pretty quiet about it. One thing we can be certain about is that it's not Merle... you can see that both of them have two hands. Fans of the comic books have their theories about who they could be, but with the ways that the TV series has strayed from the comics thus far, these could be all-new characters.

Whoever they are, Rick doesn't look particularly happy to see them, so they could be trouble. As if Rick needed any more of that at this point.
