New on Netflix for October: 'Kung Fu Panda 3' and 'Vampire Diaries'
by EG
September was a good month for Netflix subscribers, as the service added a long list of new TV series and classic movies to its catalog for the month. It would have been hard for October to live up to September's standard for new releases, and, alas, it isn't going to. Still, the service does have quite a few new offerings to make chilly October evenings a little easier to get through.
Among the movie titles new to Netflix in October are a few old favorites and at least one recent hit. The fresh film is Kung Fu Panda 3, an animated hit that was released in January of this year and currently stands as the 12th-highest-grossing movie of 2016; it comes to Netflix on October 26. Also new on Netflix next month are classics like Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Titanic, and Once Upon a Time in the West.
The biggest news in the TV series category is the debut of new seasons of a slew of CW series. The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Supernatural, iZombie, The Flash and Arrow will all have new episodes on Netflix in October; the series' debut dates will be sprinkled through the month.
Also new in October will be new episodes of Black Mirror and The Fall.
