New 'Interstellar' Trailer Features Alien Planets, Space and More Anne Hathaway

Are you ready for some epic space-travel-and-emotion-induced chills?

An extended trailer for Christopher Nolan's "Interstellar" is out now, and it's breathtaking. Our first look at the new movie from the "Inception" and "The Dark Knight" director mostly took place on Earth, with just a few glimpses of the mind-bending space travel that will inevitably make up much of the movie.

But in the new trailer, much of the preview shows us what things will be like in space for Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Wes Bentley. At first, it's just views of good ol' Saturn and a look at how the spacecraft travels across solar systems, which we saw in the first trailer.

After that, we get to see some really stunning stuff, including Nolan's imagining of alien planets that could be capable of sustaining life. Some are as barren and dust-filled as the future Earth looks, while others seem to be nothing but ocean.

Overall, this could be a visual journey to rival that of "2001: A Space Odyssey" in terms of scope. Mirroring the way that "Inception" went deep inwards, exploring what happens in the infinite world inside a person's mind, "Interstellar" goes outwards, attempting to give us an idea of how incomprehensibly huge the universe really is.

In short, we're pretty excited for this one.
