New Information for 'American Horror Story' Season 3
by Zack WellsEveryone rejoice! Lily Rabe has been confirmed for “American Horror Story” season 3.
Rejoining the cast once again after her powerful, diabolical role as Sister Mary Eunice McKee last season, and the nurturing, ever-confused Nora Montgomery in season 1, season 3 is shaping up to return the girl power.
“[This season is] really about female power,” series creator Ryan Murphy revealed.
As reported earlier, she will be joining the female powerhouses Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson once again. As with the seasons before it, they are set to play all new characters. Evan Peters is also confirmed to be returning.
Not much is known about Lily Rabe’s character yet, with most of season 3 being a secret so far. Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters also remain a mystery.
The only information we do know is about Jessica Lange’s character. She is revealed to be playing a “real glamour cat lady” and is really the focus of season 3.
This season is promising to be unique, promising a different feel than season 2. It is a modern day story, but will be “more historical in nature”.
What does that mean? We can only wildly theorize at this point until more news is revealed.
What we do know is that it will feature time jumps, just like seasons 1 and 2, but, unlike the predecessors, it will take place in more than one city this time around. Season 2 was set around Briarcliff, and Season 1, the Murder House.
Ryan Murphy also wants to focus on a “youth element,” which makes you wonder what kind of complications Jessica Lange’s character may face.
Let us know what you hope to see this season. What kind of story lies ahead?
