New 'Harry Potter' Featurette Shows Gang's First Screen Test (Watch it Here!)

With the final "Harry Potter" movie coming out in a little over a month, now is a good time to look back and see how far the series has come. I wasn't always onboard with the franchise (don't worry, I've come around), but one thing that is undeniably remarkable is the way they've managed to hold onto the cast throughout the series. To my mind, the only role that changed was Dumbledore, and that was only because Richard Harris died after the second film. That's pretty amazing after seven films and eleven years of near-constant production.

But remember when those "Harry Potter" kids were just kids? I mean, now they're going to college and getting roles in other movies and all kinds of crazy things (they grow up so fast...), but Warner Brothers isn't about to let you forget where it all began. Especially when the beginning gets a big "adorable alert" across the Internets.

While regrettably brief, the latest featurette (via E! Online) has a little bit of footage from Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint's first screen test together, before showing how the series as a whole has grown over the years, through different directors, an increasingly dark storyline, and admittedly, improvements in visual effects technology.

And it's been said before, but wow have those three become really good actors over the years.

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" comes out on July 15th. I'd tell you to be there, but I think we all know you will.
