'New Girl' Season 5, Episode 6: 'Reagan' Recap At the bar, Schmidt is annoying CeCe by being overly jealous and possessive of her. Meanwhile Nick refuses to flirt, telling Aly and Winston he is waiting for "the magic" with someone. Aly reminds them they're getting older and to be more realistic.

Nick hurts his back lifting a keg and ends up at the hospital. It's a wake-up call for him: he realizes Aly is right and he is getting older, and maybe he needs to re-evaluate how he dates. He and Winston make a deal to keep each other from dreaming and force each other to be more realistic so they don't die alone.

Just then a gorgeous woman walks in to discuss pharmaceutical sales at the desk. Nick and Winston overhear that she hates her hotel and needs a better place to stay, and Nick rushes up to tell her they have a room for rent in their loft. She comes to check it out, and recognizes CeCe, an old friend from the MTV beach house. Reagan says they used to party and hook up back in the day. The boys have strong reactions to this news.

Schmidt especially. CeCe points out that someone she hooked up with may be living with them, so they have to remember communciation is key. But, when Schmidt finds them "holding hands," after CeCe cuts herself and Reagan bandages her, he flips out with jealousy and tries to kick Reagan out. CeCe gets upset that he doesn't trust her and storms out instead.

After making a giant fool of himself with Reagan, Nick admits that Winston is right and he needs to be more realistic. He goes to ask out the girl at the bar that always flirts with him.

Schmidt yells at Reagan and demands she fix the situation. She tells him to get CeCe a ring so people will stop hitting on her, but he admits he's worried he won't get a ring that is good enough for her. She points out he's obviously more worried that he thinks he isn't good enough for her.

He goes to the bar and apologizes to CeCe, giving her his trust and offering to take her to pick out a ring together. Reagan makes herself and Nick a drink, and he hears music as he watches her. It's magic. But, she vanishes.

They all go to her hotel room and beg her to live with them for the month she's in town. She's usually a loner, but they've appealed to her, and she agrees to stay.
