'New Girl' Season 4, Episode 15, 'Oregon' Recap

Jess and Ryan are doing long-distance, but it's putting strain on the relationship. She is looking forward to seeing him at her father's wedding in Orgeon, however, where she has planned to take him on a tour of the place where she grew up.

Unfortunately, things don't work out that way. Despite her desperation to see him, Ryan ends up not coming. Jess is crushed, and her friends decide to try to cheer her up by going with her on her tour. It's fun for a bit, but seeing her mom, who cries over Ryan's absence, makes her depressed. She goes and cries in her childhood room, and Nick is forced to break his silence. He thinks Ryan is being a jerk.

He tries to comfort Jess, but she's upset with him.

At the wedding, Jess, who is the Best Man (yes), forgets the rings at her mom's house. Nick and Coach have to go get them, but find Jess' mom in the middle of an acid trip with her friends.

The guy that CeCe had a crush on when she was a kid also isn't able to come, like he was supposed to. Schmidt has been doing his best to help set him up with CeCe, though she acts strange and awkward around him. Jess tries to stall the wedding so Nick can get the rings, and Schmidt finally pulls the fire alarm. This brings the guy CeCe likes, who is a firefighter, to the party. He tries to ask CeCe out, but CeCe blurts out that she is in love with someone else (Schmidt), though he has a girlfriend.

With the support of her friends, and seeing how in love her father is with his new bride, Jess calls Ryan and breaks up with him.
