by Shannon KeirnanWinston has passed his test and is going to become a police officer! Everyone goes to watch him be sworn in, and Jess takes advantage of the many city officials present at the event to speak about the night construction near their loft, which has been annoying everyone.
She speaks with councilwoman Fawn Moscato about getting things taken care of, and Fawn is interested in Schmidt. Schmidt goes out with her to try to get the construction problem fixed.
However when he goes out with her, he finds himself attracted to her level of power and confidence.
Nick and Coach are beginning to realize that Winston's new job will put him into actual danger, and are becoming worried. He assures them that his small female partner will keep an eye on him, but Nick and Coach are sure she can't protect Winston.
They go to the training officer to scope her out and discuss how she will be protecting Winston. She kicks them out. She asks Winston if he has a problem with her, and explained what happened during his first day. He is furious but assures her that he trusts her entirely. They notice that Coach and Nick are tailing them.
Winston confronts them and they refuse to let him answer a call, sure he will die. The training officer, Allie, easily takes them both out and handcuffs them. She drags them to a support group for the family of officers.
Schmidt thinks he's in love with Fawn, who has played him and Jess (who spent her night filling out forms) regarding the construction. He admires that.
Jess tries another tactic and enlists neighbors to help protest the night construction. Fawn subtly tells Schmidt to take down their campaign. At a meeting, Jess and Ryan present an anti-night construction petition. Schmidt goes up to counter, but CeCe has pointed out that his sleeves are a little short, and he becomes so upset about his jacket that he can't give his speech.
Given his insane ranting, Fawn decides to switch the construction to a day schedule. CeCe admits that Jess told her to make a comment on Schmidt's sleeves, knowing he was nervous about his new tailor.
