'New Girl' Season 4, Episode 10: 'LAXmas' Recap

Ryan is going to London to see his family for Christmas. He invites Jess along. She thinks it's skipping a lot of steps, but he's so excited about it, she agrees.

Everyone carpools to the airport, only to find that a storm in the midwest has everything delayed and the airport is in chaos. Jess manages to get Schmidt, CeCe, and Coach on other flights, and Nick and Winston lined up. She gets texts from Ryan showing his house and "casual" get together... his family is super rich.

At the airport bar, she confides in a Santa look-alike that she may not be good enough for his family. The Santa gets pervy, so she ends up drinking with the angry worker who wouldn't help her with Nick and Winston's tickets. She talks with him about how Ryan seems to be getting more and more out of her league.

Schmidt and CeCe buy a guest pass into the first class lounge, one of Schmidt's dreams, and meet Robert Cooper, an older gentleman who was once like Schmidt. He offers Schmidt a card that will get him into airport clubs all over the world, if he can have a run at CeCe. Schmidt chews him out and leaves the lounge.

Winston and Nick set about trying to convince the passengers in front of them that they don't want to fly, so they can get pushed up the list.

After talking with Jess, whose presents for Ryan's family have been stolen by the dirty Santa, the worker, Barry, offers to do something to help her. She has him give Nick and Winston two first-class tickets home. The pervy guy from first class happens to be one that he bumped.

Nick calls Jess to thank her for their awesome seats, and finds out she isn't going to see Ryan. Everyone gets off their flight and says they won't go unless Jess gets on her plane. They rush her to where it is boarding and see her on, all of them taking a seat bump for the delay.

She gets to London and calls Ryan, only to find out that he took a flight back to LA when she said she wouldn't make it.
