'New Girl' Season 3, Episode 22: 'Dance' Recap

'New Girl' Season 3, Episode 22: 'Dance' Recap CeCe has offered to help Jess with the school dance she is putting on (themed "Love is Forever and Ever and Ever," etc.). Everyone is rather worried about Jess's choice in theme since her recent breakup.

Nick and Schmidt sweat in the bathroom which they have turned into a sauna. Nick tells him that in coping with the breakup, they have a new thing where they aren't allowed to be in a room without Winston. Winston sucks the sexual tension out of the place.

Jess gets together the group of chaperones for the dance. Everyone has been forced to attend and they're lackluster.

The guys go to the bar and make fun of CeCe's young boyfriend Buster. She tells them he's more of a man than they are, all they do is hang out with each other all day.

When Jess goes to open the dance up, she finds the gym doors have been locked by someone. All of the chaperones except Coach bail. She calls CeCe and the guys offer to go and help. CeCe brings a crowbar and manages to break the chain on the door.

Coach divvies out tasks for the new chaperones. Winston's on dance floor, Schmidt snacks, and Nick in the parking lot to sweep for stragglers. Winston starts to dance, and a group of girls become infatuated with him and follow him everywhere.

The power is cut and everything goes down. Jess goes to the breaker and finds someone has put paste in the fuse box.

CeCe and Jess corner one of the teachers and accuse him of sabatoge. He denies it, but says that since no one wanted the dance that it's probably a revenge scheme.

Schmidt has issues with a bully of a kid, and finally, after failing to break through to him, arranges to meet outside. He challenges him to a foot race.

Nick ends up bonding with some kids in the parking lot, goofing around and acting like a boy. They set off fireworks.

Jess finds a girl named Wendy trying to steal all the toilet paper. Jess realizes she has sabotaged the dance. Wendy says none of the boys want to dance with her. Jess and CeCe explain to her that boys are stupid, always, but in the end it's worth it.

Coach catches the guys - Winston followed by a mob of girls, Schmidt racing, and Nick in a shopping cart with a sparkler - and yells at them all.

The dance is salvaged with the use of cell phone flashlights and the guys "rapping."
