'New Girl' Season 3, Episode 17: 'Sister II' Recap

Jess comes home to find her group and sister playing Abby's game.... "Skyknife." Nick tackles her and pushes her aside as a knife falls from the ceiling. Abby goes out to get better knives, and Jess announces that Abby being there is a problem.

Abby bursts back in yelling that Terry has found her and wants his stuff, sending Jess into a panic, but Abby is only teasing. She says she has fun there and wants to live with them.

Later, Winston starts to check to see if his LAPD entrance exam results are up yet, which would enable him to go to police academy. Abby points out it's huge life-changing news, and Winston excuses himself.

Jess consults with Nick about what to do with Abby. She can't tell Abby not to live with them, or Abby will do the opposite. She needs to find Abby a place and make her think that it's her idea. Nick reminds her you can't lie to a liar. Jess talks him into babysitting Abby while she looks.

Winston tries to distract himself from the exam results by going to see Coach at training, interrupting his flirtation with a client.

Nick takes Abby to a museum, but she is onto the fact that he's supposed to be watching her, and begins to misbehave. As she climbs all over a vintage car, Nick blurts out what Jess is doing.

She refuses to get off the car, so Nick calls Schmidt for help. Schmidt invites Abby for a taco, which gets her off the car.

Fed up with Winston's cockblocking, Coach grabs his phone and checks the test score. He informs Winston that he failed.

Nick bursts into Schmidt's place looking for Abby, and finds them in the middle of some strange sexual game.

Winston and Coach go for coffee while he mourns his loss from choking on the test. Coach tells him to work at the cafe until he can pass the test. He gets an interview, with Coach helping him from behind the table. Winston panics and chokes however. He also doesn't finish the back half of the application.

Jess gets a great apartment for Abby and plans to manipulate her into taking it over dinner. Abby invites Schmidt, however. When Jess isn't looking Abby gets handsy with him. Nick blurts out what's happening. Abby and Jess argue about how Jess wants to fix Abby. Jess claims Abby cannot be fixed, and she doesn't want her there. Abby announces she'll move in with Schmidt.

Winston goes to finish the second half of his LAPD exam, sure he forgot to do it, but he's wrong, as it's on a computer. He says he will never amount to anything, but Coach reminds him that he fails at everything. He's at rock bottom. So it can't get worse. Winston signs up to take the test again.
