'New Girl' Recap: Season 5, Episode 7: 'Wig'

Nick is struggling to appear normal around Reagan, whose hotness throws him for a loop. He ends up avoiding her so he doesn't say stupid things. This puts him in the middle of CeCe and Schmidt way too much for their comfort.

Winston notices that she keeps herself very separate from the group and is determined to break down her walls. He chases/stalks her on her run and accidentally spills the beans to a hook-up of Reagan's that she is in town for a month. Reagan now has to officially break up with this girl, even though she's never broken up with anyone before, she usually just vanishes. Winston vows to help her.

He practices with her, but she's terrible at dumping someone. She decides Winston can just do it for her and she can avoid the mess.

Determined to get Nick off his obsession with Reagan, CeCe and Schmidt tell him that she wears a wig, thinking that strange detail will be enough to put him off her. It works for only a moment... Nick decides there's something going on, and goes to investigate Reagan's room. CeCe and Schmidt have to admit they lied, but then CeCe finds a pile of fake ID's, and Canadian cash, among various other suspicious items.

Reagan of course finds them in their investigation, and explains away all their questions. She also says she went through their stuff as well, but at least didn't jump to conclusions about them.

Winston, who failed at breaking up with her sometimes-girlfriend, rushes in, with the angry woman who demands that she owes at least an in-person dumping. Reagan is forced to confront her and be honest. She's proud of herself until the woman goes into her room and starts destroying everything.
