'New Girl' Recap: Season 5, Episode 11: 'The Apartment'

'New Girl' Recap: Season 5, Episode 11: 'The Apartment' Jess is having a hard time at work. The new principal, Becky, has all the perks, while Jess gets all the work she doesn't want to do. She's deeply stressed.

She goes to CeCe's apartment to help her finish packing to move out, only to find out CeCe has done nothing.

Winston has told Aly (who won't stop talking about her new boyfriend) he needs a new partner, as his crush is making it hard to work with her. She is furious, but he is optimistic. He meets his new partner, Dundston who seems strangely similar to Winston, and the two hit it off at first.

Jess is trying to help CeCe, only to get a call from Becky... she has to do a week's worth of work in a day, or she will be fired. Jess tries to hustle CeCe along with the packing, but CeCe is indecisive and dragging her feet.

The bar has a strange problem... a flasher. Nick doesn't think it's a big deal, but Schmidt disagrees.

CeCe is having a hard time deciding what to keep or toss. She's too attached to everything from her single life. Jess finally throws her out in the hallway and decides to do it herself.

Winston is starting to get annoyed with Dunston, who is actually very weird. He and Aly are both called to the bar for the flasher problem, and argue with each other. Things get progressively worse with Dunston. Schmidt and Nick tell him to call Aly and apologize, but he refuses. They catch the flasher together, but neither Dunston nor Winston can agree on who does what in the arrest, and they end up letting him escape.

Once CeCe is back in the apartment, she has a minor panic about how much her life is changing. She admits she's scared. Jess decides to forget the work binder and spend time with her friend. They drink and talk. When Jess gets a call from Becky about the binder, she realizes she can't find it, and must have accidentally packed it. CeCe tells her she needs to quit, she's so miserable. Jess counters that CeCe needs to call Schmidt and be open about her fears.

While CeCe is on the phone with Schmidt, Becky calls, and CeCe quits for Jess.

Winston admits to Aly he wants her back. She wants to know why he left, and he lies and says it's because she hated his music. She admits she likes having him as a partner and wants him back also, and will put up with his stupid music.

Jess goes to work, her binder done, and apologizes for CeCe. Becky continues to use her, and finally, Jess quits for real.

CeCe wakes up to coffee and a note from Schmidt. She finds him finishing her packing. He tells her he is also a little freaked out, and that's okay. They can be scared together. And happy together.

CeCe says goodbye to her apartment, and Jess appears in time for them both to say goodbye to an era.
