New ‘Game of Thrones’ Trailer (Video)

Season 3 is coming...

This is the first trailer with actual clips from season 3, it seems. No more 10 second clips, this one measures in at a whopping 1 minute long. But beggars cannot be choosers, not when it comes to the “Game of the Thrones”. Be prepared for death… fighting… and… dragons!

“Summers span decades. Winters can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne has begun.

It will stretch from the south, where heat breeds plots, lusts and intrigues; to the vast and savage eastern lands; all the way to the frozen north, where an 800-foot wall of ice protects the kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men… all will play the ‘Game of Thrones.’”

Season 3 will likely span the first half of “A Storm of Swords”, and will continue to follow the ongoing troubles of the Starks in the North and the Riverlands, the Lannisters and Tyrells in the South and King’s Landing, the Night’s Watch far north at The Wall, and the Queen of the Dragons herself, Daenerys Targaryen in the East.

All of your favorite characters and actors are set to return, but there’s no promise on how long they’ll survive. After all, winter is coming.
