New 'The Dark Knight Rises' Trailer: More Bane, More Catwoman, and the Batplane
by Andy NeuenschwanderJust how much damage can Tom Hardy's Bane cause? Quite a bit, if the new trailer for "The Dark Knight Rises" is any indication.
The newest trailer gets a little more up close and personal with Bane, and we even get to hear a couple more lines from him (the second one, at least, is audible). Along with that, we get more looks at the damage that Bane can and will be causing: we've seen the football stadium disaster already, but it looks like Gotham's bridges are another target, and Bruce/Batman himself will be at Bane's mercy at one point. "Why don't you just kill me," asks Bruce. "No," responds Bane. "Your punishment must be more severe."
We also get a bit more Catwoman in this one, both in and out of her costume. One of her lines, the slightly too cute "my mother told me not to get into cars with strange men," leads to the final image of the trailer: the Batplane soaring over Gotham, dodging what appear to be missiles. Uh oh.
It would make sense that TDKR would release another big trailer this week, as Marvel's "The Avengers" opens this weekend. In fact, if you plan on seeing "The Avengers," it's a good bet that this trailer will be in front of it.
