New 'Avengers' Trailer Has Iron Man Trying to Lift Thor's Hammer
by Andy NeuenschwanderWe're already being treated to a second "Avengers: Age of Ultron" trailer, and this time we get at least a little bit of levity.
This time, the trailer starts with the gang hanging around at Tony Stark's place, all of them taking turns trying to lift Thor's hammer, Mjolnir. As you might remember, Mjolnir can only be wielded by someone who is worthy.
Naturally, Tony (Robert Downey Jr) tries to use his Iron Man armor to get an advantage, and even gets Rhodes (Don Cheadle) to help him out in his War Machine gauntlet.
They don't have any success, but Thor (Chris Hemsworth) has a moment of panic when Captain America (Chris Evans) actually manages to make the hammer budge. As for Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), she claims she doesn't need to know the answer to that question.
From there, the party is broken up by Ultron (James Spader), and we launch into some footage of action sequences, most of which was seen in the first "Age of Ultron" trailer released last week.
This seems to be the full version of the trailer that Comic-Con attendees enjoyed during the summer. Marvel was planning on releasing the trailer to fans on last night's episode of "Agents of SHIELD," but their hand was forced early when the trailer leaked online.
It might be that Marvel was holding onto this slightly more fun version as their trump card, so they could still deliver some unseen footage during "Agents of SHIELD" that would get people talking.
In any case, this just has us even more excited for the movie! Check out the trailer below:
