Netflix Confirms 13-Episode 'Full House' Reboot, Provides Plot Details

It's not a full "TGIF" revival, but it's a start!

"Full House" is coming back to television in the form of "Fuller House," a spin-off that will be created by Netflix. The show was rumored earlier this month, but as of today Netflix has officially announced the series, giving it a 13-episode commitment.

Netflix also provided a few details about the show, confirming that a number of the original "Full House" cast members will return to star or appear in guest roles.

This time around, the show will center on DJ Tanner (Candace Cameron-Bure), who is now all grown up, recently widowed, and raising two kids while pregnant with a third. Since she's raising the kids and working full-time as a veterinarian, her sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and friend Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber) move in, along with Kimmy's teenage daughter, to help her out.

John Stamos is already set for a guest starring role, and while Netflix will be pursuing Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, Lori Loughlin and perhaps even Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen to appear, none of them have signed on as of yet.

"Fuller House" is set to premiere sometime in 2016.
