Neil Patrick Harris Marries in Secret Ceremony

"Guess what?" he captioned a photo of him with fiance David Burtka. "I got married over the weekend. In Italy. Yup. We put the 'n' and 'd' in 'husband.'"
The wedding took place at a rented castle, and Elton John performed. The grooms wore custom Tom Ford tuxedos.
Kelly Ripa spoke about the ceremony on "Live with Kelly & Michael," explaining that she wasn't at Joan Rivers' funeral because she was in Italy for the wedding.
"It was a destination wedding... It was a very quiet, very private, very family affair."
Ripa said that Harris and Burtka's children, Gideon Scott and Harper Grace, participated in the ceremony, and that it also included magic (as much like his legendary character Barney, Harris is a big fan of magic!).
"How I Met Your Mother" director Pam Fryman officiated.
"We happily confirm that Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka were married in Italy in an intimate ceremony surrounded by their close friends and family," said Harris' representatives.
The adorable pair have been together since 2004, and announced they were engaged in 2011, when New York legalized gay marriage.
"We've been wearing engagement rings for ages, waiting for an available date," they said at the time.
