'NCIS' Spin-off 'NCIS: Los Angeles' Gets a Spin-off!
by Zack Wells“NCIS” spin-off “NCIS: Los Angeles” gets its own spin-off.
“NCIS” itself is a spin-off from “JAG”. Is your head spinning yet?
It has been announced that the upcoming “NCIS: Los Angeles” spin-off (still untitled) has cast its first regular.
Edwin Hodge (older brother of Aldis Hodge) is perhaps best known for his movie role in “Red Dawn” and his previous guest appearances on “NCIS”, “The Mentalist”, “CSI: Miami”, and "Leverage”. He is set to play the resident techie of the new team, Kai Ashe (the team’s McGee).
Kai Ashe is being described as an “incredibly bright, witty and likable technical assistant; an all-round tech savvy computer guy and an expert on everything.” Sound familiar?
This new team, a mobile unit set to cross the country and solve crimes, will be introduced in a two-part story arc (a back door pilot, as they call it) on “NCIS: Los Angeles” later this season, in an episode titled “Red”.
Not much else is known about the untitled project by “NCIS: Los Angeles” executive producer and showrunner Shane Brennan, or who else is on the cross-country crime fighting team. But if the reactions and feedback are positive, you can expect CBS to pick up this show in its upcoming seasons.
Do not miss out on new episodes of “NCIS”, Tuesdays at 8:00 PM et/pt, and “NCIS: Los Angeles”, Tuesdays at 9:00 PM et/pt, on CBS.
Or you can always catch reruns on any of the syndicated networks: USA Network, Cloo, or ION Television.
