NBC's 'The Voice' Has Two Judges: Cee Lo Green and Maroon 5 Singer Adam Levine

NBC's 'The Voice' Has Two Judges: Cee Lo Green and Maroon 5 Singer Adam Levine Ever since "American Idol" became one of the biggest shows on TV, other networks have been trying to capture the same kind of TV magic that "Idol" brings every week. ABC swung out and missed with "The One", and while "X Factor" is getting a decent audience, it doesn't compete directly with "Idol."

NBC is about to throw its hat into the ring with an adaptation of a Dutch vocal talent show, which will be simply titled "The Voice." You might have already heard about the project, which is set to air on NBC in the same time slot as "American Idol," a pretty bold move by NBC.

Well, now "The Voice" has its first two judges (there has to be a panel of judges, right?).

The first judge is Cee Lo Green, the soulful big man behind the Gnarls Barkley hit "Crazy." Green also had a recent solo smash hit with "F*** You," which has since been featured on "Glee" (as sung by Gwenyth Paltrow), performed at the Grammys and the NBA All-Star weekend, and played on repeat on iPods everywhere. Green will be joined on the panel by Adam Levine, the singer of the popular band Maroon 5.

Between the two and host Carson Daly, the show is primed to bring in a younger audience...a good tactic considering that the "American Idol" judging panel currently holds Jennifer Lopez and the 62-year-old Steven Tyler.

"The Voice" is set to premiere April 26th, and will do a bit of shifting around in its time slot as it competes with the end of the "American Idol" season.
