NBC Sets Fall Premiere Dates, Including 'Heroes' Reboot and Neil Patrick Harris Variety Show
by Andy Neuenschwander
NBC may have just canceled "Hannibal" today, but it's already moving on and looking forward to the fall season.
The network announced its Fall 2015 premiere schedule, which includes a number of returning shows, a few new offerings, and one that's a little bit of both.
That "little bit of both" would describe "Heroes Reborn," a reboot of NBC's ill-fated "Heroes" show which ran for a few seasons several years ago. Despite a strong start, "Heroes" hit a rough patch during the Writer's Guild strike and never quite recovered. "Heroes Reborn" hopes to kick-start a new set of stories with some returning characters.
Other new shows include sitcom "People Are Talking" and "Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris," a variety show starring the former "How I Met Your Mother" star. NBC's confidence in the show seems substantial, as it will be premiering on September 15, before any other fall show (excluding sports).
Returning shows include hit singing competition "The Voice," as well as dramas like "The Blacklist" and "Chicago Fire" and comedies like "Undateable" and "The Mysteries of Laura."
