NBC Puts Faith In Freshman Drama 'Chicago Fire'

It was announced this morning that NBC is ordering 5 new scripts for the drama Chicago Fire. While the ratings haven't been over-the-top impressive they are rising.
Last nights episode even rose an optimistic 20 percent.
NBC has had a surprisingly strong season this year with The Voice anchoring its Monday and Tuesday nights. This year even marks the first time in 9 years that NBC has won premiere week with 18-49 viewers.
NBC has already canceled Animal Practice, but gave full seasons to Revolution, The New Normal, Go On.
