NBC Cancels 'A to Z' and 'Bad Judge'

NBC Cancels 'A to Z' and 'Bad Judge' If you were enjoying NBC's new slate of comedies this Fall, we have some bad news for you.

The Peacock has canceled freshman comedies "Bad Judge" and "A to Z" just a few weeks into the season, citing low ratings.

The two shows haven't performed abysmally overall, but "A to Z" is trending downward fast. The romantic comedy featuring "How I Met Your Mother" mother Cristin Miliotti premiered to 4.8 million viewers, but brought in only 2.6 million in its most recent episode with a measly 0.7 in the demo.

The trend matches the critic and fan response to the series: It was being hailed as one of the surprise winners of the Fall 2014 season with a charming pilot, but subsequent episodes proved to be less relatable and more grating.

Speaking of grating, the cancellation of "Bad Judge" should come as no surprise if you've read any of the reviews of the show from critics, who almost universally panned it.

However, "Bad Judge" has been faring better in the ratings than "A to Z," with about 6 million viewers in its premiere and 4 million in its most recent episode. However, it currently has a 0.9 in the demo.

Both shows will be allowed to complete their 13-episode runs, but will not be picked up on the back end. There's a slim chance that if the shows improve their fates can change, but it seems unlikely.

Honestly, we'd love to see Kate Walsh set free to pursue better projects more suited to her talents. Addison 4 lyfe.
