Mythbusters Wraps Final Episode
by EG
Last month, the stars and producers of MythBusters, Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, announced that the show would end after next season, its fourteenth. That's still a long way off, but the end of the series became a little more real for fans this week as shooting wrapped on the final episode and Savage sent out a barrage of tweets and photos documenting the end of the Mythbusters era.
The photos included shots from the set, as well as Savage on his way to the set with donuts for the crew and a poignant shot of his now-empty office.
My office now. It's so weird. #mblastday pic.twitter.com/tqNBbdMFzL

The series is set to end on its own terms with a whole season of episodes written and filmed with the end in mind. The show's network, Discovery, did not abruptly pull the plug, despite declining ratings in recent years, and Savage promises that the final season will go out with the kind of monstrous bang that Mythbusters fans have come to expect. The final season begins on January 9, 2016.
