MTV VMAs: Beyonce's Pregnant Performance (VIDEO)

Normally, Beyoncé goes all-out with her live performances, with some majorly flashy dance moves that take her all over the stage. But during the MTV Video Music Awards, her performance seemed a bit subdued in the dancing department. Beyoncé and her dancers were mostly rooted in one spot with the microphone stands.

But there was a reason for the change in style: as Beyonce came to the end of her performance, she opened her sequined tuxedo jacket and revealed...a baby bump!

The crowd went nuts, and immediately we got a reaction shot of Kanye West and Lady Gaga (as Jo Calderone) congratulating Jay-Z on his new fatherhood.

So, that explains why she wasn't wearing a spandex onesie during the performance, eh?

Fans and papparazzi outside the ceremony had been given a preview of Beyonce's baby secret earlier in the night, when the singer joked about it playfully with photographers and posed cradling her belly.

She also made some hints during the song, introing it by saying "Tonight...I want you to feel the love that's growing inside of me." Clever, B. Clever.

Congratulations to Beyonce and to Jay-Z! I think we can all safely assume that this kid is going to be some kind of serious musical genius, right?
