More 'Gilmore Girls'? Alexis Bledel Says Maybe
by EG
Depending on how you interpret her words, Gilmore Girls star Alexis Bledel may have just ramped up your hope for new episodes of the series, or she may have crushed them. In reality, a comment from the actress last week simply made clear that she has no idea about future plans for the series, but she's not ruling out a continuation.
Bledel spoke last week at the TV Critics Press Association to promote her new Amazon series, The Handmaid's Tale. During the press event, she addressed a question about the possibility of life for the series after Netflix's Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.
"I haven't heard anything. It hasn't been a conversation as of yet," Bledel said. "All of us are just wanting to tell a good story. The only thing I can say about future installments is that it would be about the story and the timing. We want to tell a great story."
Netflix has already expressed interest in producing more Gilmore Girls, and some of the actors involved, including Scott Patterson, have expressed interest in being included. The primary decision, though, rests with series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, who has thus far been publically ambivalent about continuing the story.
