More Details on The 'Boy Meets World' Reprisal

More Details on The 'Boy Meets World' Reprisal More details are starting to emerge about the controversial (do we love this or hate this?) Disney Channel “Boy Meets World” reprisal, set to follow Cory and Topanga’s teenage daughter through her own life experiences.

So, what can we expect from this “Girl Meets World?”

Well, this is what we know now:

The daughter’s name is Riley Matthews. She is thirteen, and has an older brother named Elliot, who is fourteen. The show will follow Riley and her best friend Maya.

The casting call for our heroine hints that Riley will have “bright spirits and eternal optimism,” which seems in-keeping with any child of Cory and Topanga. The best friend Maya, however, seems to be more Shawn Hunter-esque, an “only child who has never known her father, which immediately makes her relationship with both Riley and Cory Matthews very important to her although she’d never admit it.” Maya is also noted to be “dark and edgy,” though “fiercely loyal” to her BFF.

And the best part?

Cory Matthews might be finding himself in the role once reserved for the ever-wise guiding light, Mr. Feeny, stepping in as the seventh-grade history teacher of Riley’s class.

While there has, as of yet, been no confirmation that original cast members Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel will be returning to reprise their roles, Fishel recently tweeted, “Just want you guys to know that @BenSavage and I have talked and we’ve decided… Thanksgiving is going to be delicious this year!”

Obviously that tells us nothing but that Fishel and Savage are both planning to nurse a nice big food baby this November... but will they be hitting the small screen together to work on raising something other than their pants size?  I guess that's news we have to wait for.
