More 'American Horror Story' Season 3 Spoilers!
by Zack WellsFrances Conroy, an “American Horror Story” alumnus, has been talking about the show, and my eager ears have been listening.
Frances Conroy says she will be in about 10 out of the 13 episodes for this upcoming season 3, but outside of that, she does not know much else. She does not even know whom she will be playing yet!
She did reveal, however, that, while none of the scripts have been handed out to the actors, she knows that it’s going to be set in New Orleans, and she knows the other actors who will be involved.
Kathy Bates, who recently joined the cast, and is set to play Marie Delphine LaLaurie, or Madame LaLaurie, and real life woman who existed back in the day. She was a New Orleans socialite who was discovered to have tortured and killed dozens of black slaves.
The most interesting part, however, is that Madame LaLaurie only lived in New Orleans in the early 1800s, so it’s likely to be just one of the eras focused on this time.
As I’ve written before, Dylan McDermott let it slip that the season would also be about the Salem Witch Trials, which took place during the late 1600s. So, that’s likely another era which this season will focus.
In addition, Ryan Murphy has stated “there will be time periods, and there will also be different cities.” Sounds like we’re in for a treat, then. The only tidbit we’re missing now is what role Jessica Lange is going to play. Murphy has said she will be the main character the season, and “a real glamour cat lady”.
Thoughts? What do you think Jessica Lange will be doing this time around? And what era?
