'Monday Night Football' Gets Ratings Boost, 'Love & Hip Hop' Stays Hot

Despite national anthem controversies and all the other woes that have been plaguing the NFL lately, this season's TV ratings numbers continue to drop nuggets of hope in the league's lap. This week's edition of Monday Night Football on ESPN improved its ratings considerably over last week, and the broadcast easily won the night. VH1's Love & Hip Hop, however, drew a significant audience of its own.

Once again, ESPN’s continued coverage of “Monday Night Football” led the night in the Monday cable ratings this week.

The network’s broadcast of the Lions vs Green Bay Packers game scored a 3.8 rating in adults 18-49, which was three-tenths higher than the 3.5 that last week’s game had scored. “Monday Night Countdown” scored yet another spot in the Top 25 of the night as well, ticking up two-tenths from its previous 0.5 to a 0.7 this time around.

Following its eighth season premiere last week, VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop: New York” held steady with another 1.1, while USA’s “WWE Monday Night Raw” also maintained its previous 1.0 peak rating for the second week in a row. In addition, Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Orange County” ticked up one-tenth from a 0.5 to a 0.6 this time around.
