'Mom' Season 3, Episode 6: 'Horny-Goggles and a Catered Intervention' Recap
by Shannon KeirnanAll the ladies of A.A. are feeling a little down, as it's the holiday season and most are single. Wendy pushes them to go to the Sober Dance, but understandably they're not especially interested.
Regina comes back from her church conference. Jill suggests that if they're having a party they should have one for Regina, who is approaching two years sober. Regina tells them that she had some glasses of wine over her conference and has decided she is not an alcoholic.
They're worried about her but Marjorie suggests they leave her alone and let her make her choices. Bonnie is convinced it won't take her long to spiral out of control and hit bottom. Wendy and Jill call Bonnie and Christy, and they all decide to arrange an intervention at Jill's house.
Regina arrives at her intervention and is annoyed. She points out she is doing better than ever... and definitely a lot better than any of the rest of them. She declares she is moving out of Jill's and finding new friends.
Later Regina even shows up at the diner "accidentally" to flaunt her handsome new boyfriend in front of the ladies. Things seem to be going very well for her.
Baxter and Candace stop by with Roscoe on Christmas, and Christy pulls Baxter aside to ask if he thinks perhaps her alcoholism was just a "stage." He reminds her what a mess she was, and points out how well she is doing now, as she compares herself to Regina.
The ladies go over to Regina's new place on Christmas Eve to apologize to her. She forgives them and asks them to stay, but they have to go to the Sober Dance. She sips a glass of wine when they exit.
They go to the Sober Dance, which is as terrible as they expected, but they have fun dancing anyway.
