'Mom' Season 3, Episode 2: 'Thigh Gap and a Rack of Lamb' Recap

They recruit a new person named Jodie to come to the diner with them after their meeting. Since it turns out the young woman lives with a drug dealer, Bonnie and Christy take her home to stay with them. However they offend her a little when they make sure to hide all their electronics. Jodie disappears in the morning and no one can track her down.
Christy meets Bonnie and Marjorie after work, having stolen food because she can barely get by. Marjorie suggests she ask for a raise and reminds her to value herself so people don't take advantage of her.
Per suggestion, Christy asks for a raise, sweaty and crying the whole time. Her boss admits she is doing a great job... but they have to let her go so Claudia can hire her brother. Claudia offers to bump her back down to a server, and, furious, Christy quits.
She tells Bonnie what she did but Bonnie doesn't have the same response. Christy realizes she has done something stupid in standing up for herself for once. She goes back and takes the waitress job.
Picking up Roscoe she finds out he and his new girlfriend have bought a boat and Roscoe wants to go fishing with them. She refuses to let them have the weekend with her son, but Bonnie guilts her and she ends up taking him back so he can go on the boat.
Christy is complaining about her problems at group when Jodie comes in, beat up. She has left her boyfriend who beat her up when she told him she wanted to get clean. Christy's issues seem much smaller in comparison. Everyone steps in to offer Jodie help.
