'Mom' Season 3, Episode 11: 'Cinderella and a Drunk MacGyver' Recap

During their female-only A.A. meeting, a handsome alcoholic wanders in, and they insist he stay. His name is Julian and he's never been to a meeting before, only now acknowledging he has lost everything important to him. All the ladies are instantly smitten.

Jill takes Bonnie as her date to a charity event she was originally ashamed to go to, leaving Christy alone for the night. She's surprised when Julian calls her and asks if she wants to get coffee. She goes to offer him support.

At the gala, Jill is mortified to realize everyone remembers that she got drunk and set the drapes on fire and put them out with chocolate fondue. Bonnie enourages her to go in there and own it.

Christy goes back to Julian's motel and has someone come up to remove all the liquor from the mini bar for him. She calls Marjorie but won't admit what's happening.

Jill has tried to make amends with everyone, but the rich people at the party aren't having it. She calls a toast and tells everyone at least she's trying to be better. In the process she knocks over a waiter who hits a candle and sets the drapes on fire.

Julian is grateful to Christy for being there to support him. He tries to kiss her. Christy tells him to get a male sponsor and to call her in a year, and leaves. It kills her... but she leaves the hot man behind.

Jill mourns the loss of her old friends, but Bonnie consoles her... with the help of the gift bags she stole on their way out.
