'Mom' Season 1, Episode 21: 'Broken Dreams and Blocked Arteries' Recap

Alvin comes over to talk, and tells his daughter that his wife filed for divorce. She reconnected with her high school sweet heart.
Alvin asks Violet about prom and says he'll rent a limo for her, earning himself a hug.
Luke comes to pick up Violet for the dance, but she refuses to come out of her room. Christy sneaks around the house and goes to her window. She gives her a pep talk about how she has held herself with grace the entire pregnancy and she deserves to go to prom. Violet admits she can't go because she can't stop farting. Bonnie goes to get gas pills and perfume.
Violet adds that she doesn't feel like she has much to celebrate. She's giving up her baby to have a better life. Christy reminds her the baby will have a better life as well.
Violet goes to prom to dance with Luke, thanking him for sticking with her. As they dance, she begins to have contractions. Luke rushes her to the hospital.
Christy and Bonnie get the call and rush out. They get to the hospital but there's no Violet. She and Luke went to a different hospital. Christy, Bonnie, and now the Taylors rush to the other hospital, but find out it's a false alarm.
Alvin comes to fix Christy's car, which has a broken window courtesy of Bonnie, who smashed it in a panic to get to the hospital. He and Bonnie begin to scream at each other about their past, and he has chest pains. They take him to the hospital and find he had a small heart attack and needs a stint. He'll need someone to care for him for a few weeks.
Christy turns to Bonnie but she refuses. Christy realizes Bonnie still loves him.
