'Mom' Season 1, Episode 18: 'Toilet Wine and the Earl of Sandwich' Recap

As Bonnie and Christy are about to leave to bring Regina to prison, they find Alvin at the door. Christy invites him in to get to know his grandkids while she's gone.
On the way to prison, they discuss reasons they might start drinking again. Regina thinks going to prison is a good reason to start. Marjorie explains how to make toilet wine.
Alvin tries to connect with the kids - Roscoe first, then Violet. She mentions that she's putting her baby up for adoption, and Alvin says not being there for Christy was one of his biggest regrets. Violet gets angry at him.
Alvin sits them both down and explains that he is sorry for never being there but he wants to get to know them. He accidentally reveals that Violet is giving the baby up, which Roscoe didn't know.
Regina says she will most regret missing her little boy growing up. Christy finds out she didn't even get to say goodbye to him, as his father wouldn't let him near her. Christy decides to take a side trip so Regina can see him.
They stop at the house and pretend that they lived in the house before, and ask to be shown around. Regina sneaks in to see her son and say goodbye.
Satisfied, Regina goes to turn herself in. She says her tearful goodbyes to Christy, Bonnie, and Marjorie.
They find Alvin sitting on the stoop when they get home, locked out by Violet. Christy invites him in for dinner, but he decides to get going. Christy asks why he really came by, and Alvin admits that his wife threw him out. Christy brings him inside to stay.
